Life & Death

Have you ever considered the strength, yet the fragility of life? I have been forced too, over the last several weeks, both professionally and personally. Humanity hangs onto life with such intense desperation, and in a moment...it's gone. One moment, life is there with all its joys, its sorrows, the hope of youth, the wisdom of age...then like a candle flame snuffed out. Within, the driving passion to restore life and the tenacity to keep fighting rages; mixed with the willingness to allow death to come as a friend in peace, watching as yet another patiently steps through that door. Training comes into conflict with reality...and again a struggle through the issues of life and death.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that [you] may live. ~Deuteronomy 30:19

The following is a reprise that touches the core of this dichotomy...
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
~Live This Life, Big&Rich
