The OTHER side of the bed...

Number One, I am blessed with one smart, determined, STUBBORN Hunny...and I am eternally grateful.

Long story short...I spend last night in the hospital, after my hunny dragged me to the Emergency Room. Thankfully, everything is clearer by the light of day, and I was discharged this morning, after proving that I CAN still walk without getting too winded...

The plans at this time include changing my medications around, and hopefully leading to using an insulin pump by the end of the year. While it has been very hard to make the psychological jump to using insulin, it is obviously apparent that it is controlling this disease significantly better than just oral medications alone.

I have only had the opportunity to be on the other side twice...and again, I find that it is not the preferred prespective. It reminds me to be more patient, understanding, and compassionate to my patients who are struggling with the changes that the other side of the bed brings into their lives.
