Well, Hunny is headed to the oral surgeon today. Hopefully, he will emerge somewhat toothless...that is, with up to eight teeth extracted.
We have known that his teeth were bad for quite some time, but only recently realized that he still had significant disease (ie. cavities) in there. It seems, that the three dentists that we've talked to in the last two years, didn't seem to think that impacted wisdom teeth and cavities were all that important...rather, let's see if we can convince these fine folks to spend GOBS of money on CAPS!!! Needlesstosay, I'm quite frustrated with the whole dental profession at the moment.
So, now we are preparing for him to be virtually toothless for a few months. :P Actually, I'm not too worried about the months down the road, because we are planning on getting implants for several, but I am concerned about the next few days. I've heard horror stories regarding "dry socket" and I can only imagine with him losing eight at once, that this greatly increases his risk...so any prayers for health would be appreciated!
Oh, sidebar to any kids reading this...take a lesson from Hunny...NO CHEWING! IT RUINS YOUR TEETH! Seriously.
Anyway, morning responsibilities await me...blessings!
